Assoc. Prof. Gülsün YILDIRIM, Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Turkey

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gulsun YILDIRIM, has B.A. degree in Tourism Management from Adnan Menderes University and ELT from Pamukkale University. After graduating from B.A. she has M.A degree from Eskişehir Osmangazi University in Tourism Management and a Ph.D. degree from Selcuk University/Gazi University in Tourism Management. She worked as a tour guide for three years. She also worked as a lecturer in Ardesen Vocational School of Recep Tayyip Erdogan University between 2012-2019. She has been working as an Assoc. Professor in the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts in the Tourism Faculty of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University. Her research interests are Rural Tourism, Agri-tourism, Sustainable Tourism, Tourism Marketing, Qualitative Research Methods, Tour Guiding, Women Empowerment. She received her doctorate degree with a doctoral thesis called ''Evaluation of farm tourism within the scope of rural tourism in Turkey: The case of TaTuTa farms''. She conducted various studies related to rural tourism after her doctoral thesis. One of these studies "A study on the farm tourism experiences of farmers and visitors in Turkey" was published in the Journal of Economic & Management Perspectives journal indexed in Scopus. She presented another study about farm tourism "A study Related to Tatuta (Agriculture-Tourism-Exchange) Project Experience of Ecological Holiday Farms in Rize / Turkey" at Tourman 2018, 2nd International Scientific Conference. She is a reviewer on IGI Global’s International Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Management in the Digital Age (IJTHMDA) and Journal of Recreation and Tourism Research. She is also editor of a publication entitled “Cases on Tour Guide Practices for Alternative Tourism”, published by IGI Global, an international publisher of progressive academic research. Her works appear in book chapters released by Routledge.

Assoc. Prof. Hüseyin ÇEKEN, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Turkey

Hüseyin ÇEKEN is an Associate Professor at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (Turkey) the Faculty of Tourism and Head of the Accommodation Management Department. He completed his master’s and doctoral studies in the Department of Tourism Management and specializes in tourism economics. In the school he serves as a lecturer, he conducts courses in economics, tourism economics, rural tourism, and rural development. He has books that the author has written about his field, numerous articles, and reports. He has started to study rural tourism and rural development in 2007. He started to study rural tourism with an article and then he became thesis advisor of six theses about rural tourism and development. He has 11 international and 6 national articles, 8 international and 4 national proceedings, 1 international and 2 national book chapters, and finally 1 national book about rural tourism and development.

Assoc. Prof. Aydoğan AYDOĞDU, Kastamonu University, Turkey

Aydoğan Aydoğdu was born on September the 9th, 1966 in Manisa. He attended primary school in Musabey village of Izmir. He completed his secondary and high school educations in Manisa.

In 1984, Aydoğdu was entitled to attend the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Çukurova University. After his undergraduate education, he enrolled in the Department of Tourism Management at Dokuz Eylül University, Graduate School of Social Sciences. Graduated in 2005 and received the title of Science Specialist in the field of Tourism Management. In the same year, he was accepted to the doctoral program of the same institution and he has received his Ph.D. degree and in 2011. Aydoğdu completed his educations while working in some of the leading tourism establishments in Turkey, Europe as well as in Africa as line staff, department manager, and general manager. Economics, Management, and Organization, Tourism Policy and Planning, Research Methods in Social Sciences, Rural Tourism, Gastronomy Tourism are among his interest in researches. He has dozens of articles, books, and book chapters published in national and international refereed journals. He is good at English, French, and German. He still teaches at Kastamonu University (Turkey), The Faculty of Tourism, and bears the title of Assistant Professor and acts as Vice Dean of the faculty.

Başak DEMİRAY, Tepebaşı Municipality, Turkey

Başak Demiray completed her undergraduate education in Business Administration in English and her master's degree in International Business Administration at Anadolu University, and she continues her doctorate education in the same school in the Department of Management and Organization. Demiray, who is doing her thesis on eco-entrepreneurial behaviors and sustainable productions of my businesses, has been involved in scientific research projects in the field of Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development, participated in training and takes an active role in various NGOs. She has been working as a Sustainability Coordinator at Tepebaşı Municipality since 2017. She is also a KOSGEB Entrepreneurship instructor and lectures Entrepreneurship at Eskişehir Technical University.
